Star-Fallen
Wreck-born of the Warm Crater. Hold a lane and shoot down it. Every body that falls in front of you is stripped for gold — a fight you win funds the next one.
Make the dead pay for it
How the Fallen fight
Strong: Five ranged lines, three of them piercing, and the only straight-line weapons outside the Court.
Weak: Nothing it carries can be made again — it fights on what the field gives back.
The Star-Fallen field 26 troops across twelve classes — 2 levy, 5 ranged, 2 cavalry, 2 shock, 2 anti-armor, 3 support, 2 caster, 3 elite, 2 siege, 1 construct, 1 legend and 1 titan.
Trait and powers
Every Star-Fallen troop fights with the kingdom's trait: +3% range. It is added in battle on top of the figures on each troop's own page.
- Salvage — every kill strips the dead for 2 gold, whoever they were
- It shoots further than anything but the Court (+3% range)
- But nothing here can be replaced — 8% slower musters

The Star-Fallen roster
All 26 troops, by class and then by what their spawner costs to raise. Range is in the field's own units — a melee blow reaches a few dozen, the longest bows several hundred.
| Troop | Class | Raise | Health | Damage | Range | Speed | Pop | What it does |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Gleaner | Levy | 350 | 51 | 8 | Melee | 74 | 1 | Goes out after a battle with a sack. Goes out during one if told. |
Scrapling | Levy | 450 | 57 | 9 | Melee | 70 | 1 | Crater-born, in plate cut from a panel that used to be part of a wall. |
Ray Splitter | Ranged | 750 | 40 | 12 | 160 | 66 | 2 | The same stance, the same patience, and a length of hull-lamp cut down to something one arm can aim. |
Shardslinger | Ranged | 750 | 43 | 12 | 145 | 72 | 1 | Hull-splinters, thrown flat. The supply is not renewable and everyone knows it. |
Beamlance | Ranged | 1,650 | 57 | 23 | 185 | 58 | 2 | One straight line, and everything standing on it. Three shots before it is dark. |
Flare Crew | Ranged | 1,750 | 66 | 19 | 190 | 50 | 3 | Two of them and a tube. What comes out of it goes up and then everywhere. |
Watcher | Ranged | 2,050 | 47 | 26 | 240 | 54 | 2 | It hovers, it picks, and it does not miss twice. Nobody knows how many are left. |
Skiff Rider | Cavalry | 1,650 | 130 | 24 | Melee | 146 | 2 | A plate that will not sit on the ground, and somebody standing on it. |
Hauler | Cavalry | 2,250 | 168 | 28 | Melee | 110 | 3 | A cargo walker with the crates taken off and a rider put on. |
Breachjack | Shock | 750 | 92 | 26 | Melee | 112 | 2 | Goes through the hole first, because it is wearing the hole-making equipment. |
Cutterman | Shock | 1,150 | 112 | 35 | Melee | 118 | 2 | Two blades cut from a bulkhead, and no shield, because there was no shield. |
Prybar | Anti-Armor | 1,000 | 116 | 35 | Melee | 66 | 1 | Everyone in the crater owns one. Not everyone is issued a target. |
Hullbreaker | Anti-Armor | 1,500 | 135 | 38 | Melee | 62 | 2 | A cutting bar off the wreck. It was made to open the ship and it still opens things. |
Signaller | Support | 1,550 | 61 | — | Melee | 80 | 2 | It still receives something. Nobody has ever heard the other side of it. |
Mender | Support | 1,650 | 65 | — | Melee | 74 | 2 | It knows which parts of a man are replaceable, which is more than most healers. |
Scavenger-Lord | Support | 2,250 | 82 | 12 | 120 | 84 | 3 | It decides what the field is worth, and the army waits for the figure. |
Fieldwright | Caster | 2,850 | 60 | 17 | 160 | 58 | 3 | It bends the ground the way the crater bends it, in a circle, on purpose. |
Starcaller | Caster | 3,550 | 65 | 22 | 175 | 54 | 3 | It calls down a very small piece of what fell the first time. |
Star Warden | Elite | 3,900 | 138 | 24 | 120 | 84 | 3 | It has been guarding the crater since before the duchy south of it had a name. |
Hull Knight | Elite | 4,200 | 160 | 28 | Melee | 88 | 4 | Plate cut in one piece from the ship. There will never be another suit of it. |
Crater Guard | Elite | 4,250 | 150 | 25 | Melee | 80 | 3 | It stands where the hull is thinnest, which is the only post that matters. |
Lantern Engine | Siege | 2,250 | 130 | 29 | 250 | 36 | 3 | A hull-lamp turned around. What it points at stops being there in a straight line. |
Grav Sled | Siege | 2,450 | 167 | 26 | Melee | 52 | 4 | It carries the ram rather than being one, and it does not care what the ground is. |
Salvage Walker | Construct | 3,000 | 239 | 24 | Melee | 46 | 4 | It goes out to strip the dead and comes back heavier than it left. |
The Last Lander | Legend | 7,500 | 401 | 37 | 175 | 58 | 7 | The only piece of the ship that still answers. It has been asked for three centuries. |
The Prow | Titan | 8,550 | 530 | 52 | Melee | 46 | 10 | The front of the thing that fell, upright, walking, and still faintly warm. |

The Fallen campaign
The Long Crater — The only other people who can cut hull plate have decided the wreck is theirs.
Their rival on the march is the Steampunk Hold.
In the Gauntlet
The Gauntlet sets every kingdom against every other in one run: the Star-Fallen have 10 matchups to win as themselves, and 10 in which they are the foe.
