Special powers
- Armour. Takes 44% less damage from every blow that does not ignore armour.
- Siege. Deals ×1.6 damage to keeps and buildings.
- Splash. Every hit also strikes everything within 87 of the target for 70% of its damage.
- Lingering damage. Leaves its target taking 9 damage a second for 3.5 seconds.
Strong and weak
Strong: Everything at once.
Weak: Its own boiler.
Siege (×1.25) troops deal extra damage to it.
Raising it
The Great Engine comes out of its own spawner, which your Builder raises for 5,950 gold in the middle of a battle. Once it stands it musters The Great Engine every 2 minutes 51 seconds by itself, and levelling it shortens that — to 2 minutes 33 seconds at level 2 and 2 minutes 5 seconds at level 3.
Upgrades cost 4,100 gold to level 2 and 18,450 gold to level 3. Every level also makes the troops it musters hit harder and last longer.
Before it can be raised at all it has to be unlocked in the Armory, for 4,850 gold — gold carried between battles, earned by fighting them.
