These are the Boiler King's own figures, the ones the Armory prints. In battle the Steampunk Hold's trait is added on top: +18% health · +12% damage · −6% speed. Range, reach and speed are in the battlefield's own units.
Special powers
- Armour. Takes 50% less damage from every blow that does not ignore armour.
- Siege. Deals ×1.8 damage to keeps and buildings.
- Cleave. Every swing also hits the foes around it for 55% of its damage.
- Lingering damage. Leaves its target taking 7 damage a second for 3.5 seconds.
- Knockback. Its blows shove the target back.
Strong and weak
Strong: Anything it can reach.
Weak: Reach, air, patience.
Siege (×1.3) troops deal extra damage to it.
Raising it
The Boiler King comes out of its own spawner, which your Builder raises for 8,450 gold in the middle of a battle. Once it stands it musters a Boiler King every 2 minutes 58 seconds by itself, and levelling it shortens that — to 2 minutes 51 seconds at level 2 and 2 minutes 33 seconds at level 3.
Upgrades cost 5,800 gold to level 2 and 26,150 gold to level 3. Every level also makes the troops it musters hit harder and last longer.
Before it can be raised at all it has to be unlocked in the Armory, for 5,750 gold — gold carried between battles, earned by fighting them.
