These are the Fire Giant's own figures, the ones the Armory prints. In battle the Orc Horde's trait is added on top: +15% damage · +6% speed. Range, reach and speed are in the battlefield's own units.
Special powers
- Armour. Takes 30% less damage from every blow that does not ignore armour.
- Cleave. Every swing also hits the foes around it for 55% of its damage.
- Lingering damage. Leaves its target taking 16 damage a second for 3.5 seconds.
- Knockback. Its blows shove the target back.
Strong and weak
Strong: Crowds, attrition, soaking.
Weak: Frost, pierce, kiting.
Siege (×1.3) troops deal extra damage to it.
Raising it
The Fire Giant comes out of its own spawner, which your Builder raises for 8,150 gold in the middle of a battle. Once it stands it musters a Fire Giant every 2 minutes 54 seconds by itself, and levelling it shortens that — to 2 minutes 39 seconds at level 2 and 2 minutes 13 seconds at level 3.
Upgrades cost 5,950 gold to level 2 and 26,900 gold to level 3. Every level also makes the troops it musters hit harder and last longer.
Before it can be raised at all it has to be unlocked in the Armory, for 5,550 gold — gold carried between battles, earned by fighting them.
